Our Story

100 Degrees Consulting was officially founded in 2015, but the idea was born years before.

From a local newspaper write-up about my odd jobs business at age 11.

To a goal to own a business on a silly 30 Before 30 list.

To laying on a floor in Senegal, covered with a mosquito net, staring at the ceiling wondering if the temperature would ever drop from 100 degrees.

In Senegal that night, sleep felt impossible and I questioned every decision I made that led me to sleeping on the floor in an un-airconditioned room on the equator in the middle of summer. As the minutes went by, though, I adapted to the heat, eventually fell asleep, and woke up the next morning ready to help a nonprofit organization with their numbers.

I can’t say the next night was any better, but I realized something.

We all adapt when pushed beyond our comfort zones.

Having spent a decade in the apple orchards of Afghanistan, terai of Nepal, and mountains of Haiti among other far-flung locales, I learned through first hand experience what it means to step out of your comfort zone.

As we reach beyond what was once thought possible, we find growth, expand our boundaries, and begin to reach our limitless potential.
